Blackberry and Samsung are joining hands to bring security solutions to Android

Samsung and Blackberry will be bringing a security solution for Android smartphones. Both the company has joined their hands to do so. Blackberry devices were known for their encrypted network which was the best in World. The program will bring BlackBerry’s encryption system to businesses using Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones.

The Korean giant Samsung will implement the security solution and will integrate BES12, the end-to-end encryption service by Blackberry into its own security software Knox. The security solution would deal personal data and business data separately. The upcoming security suite powered by Knox and BES12 will also provide enhancements that address some of the Android-specific security issues. It will bring a series of core security enhancements to better protect device integrity from kernel to apps.

John Sims, President of Global Enterprise Services, BlackBerry said in a statement.

“BlackBerry has developed a very close partnership with Samsung and we’re committed to deepening the interaction between our engineering and product development teams for the long-term. It is a natural progression in our path to providing our customers with more alternatives to meet their evolving mobile needs. Samsung KNOX offers a number of hardware and software security features and our partnership allows us to tightly integrate these capabilities with BES12.”

There has been no news related to its launch and pricing. Expectations are that it will turn up in the first or second quarter of next year.
