BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite has been officially launched in India. As the name suggests, it is a luxury smartphone which is not meant for the common man. Lets take a look at the specifications and the whopping price of the device.

The BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite sports a 3.1-inch (720 x 720 pixels) 24-bit colour display. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (MSM8960) processor with Adreno 320 GPU. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on the latest BlackBerry OS 10. It has both touch screen navigation and full QWERTY physical keyboard.
The back cover has coloured elements and is made up of hand-wrapped leather. There is an exclusive keypad on the keyboard with specially crafted glass-like keys with the durability of rigid synthetic material, blackened glass and a graphite stainless steel colour frame. It comes with FM Radio and has BBM with Unique PIN that is instantly recognizable as a Porsche Design user. The company also provides an exclusive Porsche Design PIN range – 2AAXXXXX.
On the camera front, the Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite has a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 5 element lens. It shoots HD 1080p videos as well. It has a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for your selfies and video calling and can shoot HD 720p videos. The smartphone is 10.6 mm thick and weighs 140 grams.
The Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC, micro HDMI, GPS and GLONASS as connectivity options. It has an array of sensors including accelerometer, magnetometer, compass, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. The device has a 2,100 mAh battery under the hood.
The BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite Edition has been priced at a whopping Rs 99,990 and will go on sale from select retailers in India soon.
