ASUS ZenWatch 3 has been officially announced at the IFA 2016. It is the third generation Android Wear smartwatch from ASUS but the first one in the series to sport a round design. Lets check out the specifications and features of the smartwatch below.

The ASUS ZenWatch 3 features a 1.39-inch (400 x 400 pixels) AMOLED display, that has a pixel density of 287 PPI. The watch is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. It comes with 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of eMMC storage, that cannot be expanded further via microSD card. It runs on Android Wear OS, that is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.3 and above and iOS. It is around 9.95 ~ 10.75 mm thick and is dust and water-resistant (IP67 certified). It is crafted from jewellery-grade 316L stainless steel. It comes with interchangeable straps, that includes an Italian leather strap that has a three-button system. It offers quick access to frequently used functions, such as opening the ZenFit activity tracking app and changing the display modes.
The ZenWatch 3 includes WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and sensors – 6-axis (gyro and acceleration) and Ambient light sensor. It packs in a 340 mAh battery under the hood with HyperCharge (fast charging) technology. It promises to charge the smartwatch from 0 to 60 in just 15 minutes. It uses a magnetic charger, comes with an optional Watch stand along with a battery pack that offers 40% of battery life when you are outside.
The ASUS ZenWatch 3 is available in Silver, Gunmetal and Rose Gold color variants. The pricing of the Android Wear smartwatch starts at 229 Euros (US $256 / INR Rs 17,101 approximately) and it will start rolling out from October 2016.
