ASUS ZenPower 9,600 mAh power bank unveiled in Taiwan

ASUS ZenPower, the company’s first portable power bank (9,600 mAh) was unveiled in Taiwan. The power bank is a carbon copy of the Xiaomi Mi 10,400 mAh power bank. Even OnePlus released their own power bank a while ago.

The ASUS ZenPower was originally introduced at CES 2015 last month but only to select media people. The ASUS ZenPower 9,600 mAh power bank has three 3,200 mAh batteries whereas the Mi 10,400 mAh power bank has four 2,600 mAh batteries. On the ASUS device, it has 11 layers of protection compared to only 9 layers on the Mi power bank.
The ASUS ZenPower has only one full USB port with 5V/2.4V output, a micro USB slot for charging along with a power button and four LED lights. The device weighs only 215 grams and 18 mm thick, which is slightly lighter and thinner than the Xiaomi Mi 10,400 mAh power bank that weighs 250 grams and 21.6 mm thick.
The ASUS ZenPower will be available in white, black, pink, blue and black matte metallic colour variants with rubber sleeves in gray, red, green, yellow and black colours. There is no details about the global release nor the pricing.
ASUS recently launched the Zenfone C, Fonepad 8, Fonepad 7, Zenfone Zoom and Zenfone 2.
