ASUS ZenPad 3 8.0 (Z581KL) has been officially announced. It is the latest Android tablet in the ZenPad series, which is also very similar to the recently launched ZenPad Z8 (ZT581KL). Lets go through the specifications of the tablet below.

The ASUS ZenPad 3 8.0 (Z581KL) features a 7.9-inch (2048 x 1536 pixels) QXGA fully laminated IPS display, that comes with a viewing angle of 178-degree. It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 (Dual 1.8 GHz ARM A72 + Quad 1.4 GHz ARM A53) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 2 / 4 GB of RAM and comes with 16 / 32 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with Zen UI 3.0 on top of it.
On the camera front, the ZenPad 3 has a 8 megapixel rear primary camera, which can record Full HD 1080p videos. It has a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It has a Single SIM slot, dual-front facing stereo speakers and DTS-HD audio and 7.1-channel virtual sound for an enhanced audio experience. It is 7.57 mm thick body with metallic frame and it weighs 320 grams. The back side comes with a leather-like finish as well.
On the connectivity front, the ASUS ZenPad 3 8.0 includes 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-C and GPS + GLONASS. It packs in a 4,680 mAh battery under the hood.
The ASUS ZenPad 3 8.0 is available in Black color. A separate Zen Clutch protective case is also available, which will also double up as a stand and it includes convenient slots for storing ID and credit cards. There is no information on the pricing and global roll out of the tablet yet.
