ASUS announced a new budget smartphone called the Zenfone C (ZC451CG) in Malaysia, which is quite similar to the ASUS Zenfone 4 available in India. The company recently launched Fonepad 8, Fonepad 7, Zenfone Zoom, Zenfone 2 and Pegasus X002 recently. Let us look at the specifications of the smartphone.
ASUS Zenfone C Specifications
The ASUS Zenfone C sports a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display with anti-fingerprint coating. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Z2520 processor with PowerVR SGX544. The smartphone comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card slot. The latest Zenfone will run on Android 4.4 KitKat with Zen UI on top and hopefully be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
On the camera front, the ASUS Zenfone C has a 5 megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. It has 0.3 megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera for your selfies and video calling. The smartphone is 10.9 mm in thickness and weighs 149 grams.
The Zenfone C comes with 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The device has a 2,100 mAh battery under the hood.
The ASUS Zenfone C will be available in Black, Red and White colour variants and has been priced at RM 349 (US $100/ INR Rs 6,000 approximately). There is no information about the global roll out yet.
