ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom has been announced at the CES 2017. It is the latest Zenfone in the Zenfone 3 series, which is also a successor to the original Zenfone Zoom. Lets have a look at the specifications and features of the device below.

The ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, has 500 nits of brightness and a pixel density of 401 PPI. It is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 14nm processor along with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with 3GB / 4GB RAM and 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of internal memory (eMMC), which is further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. It runs on Zen UI 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The Zenfone 3 Zoom rocks dual rear cameras – a 12 megapixel primary rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX362 sensor, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Laser AF, three-axis EIS, four-axis OIS. It has another 12 megapixel secondary rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and 5P largan lens. It has a 25mm wide-angle lens and a 56mm telephoto lens, just like the iPhone 7 Plus. It offers 12X digital zoom along with 2.3X optical zoom and portrait mode (depth of field mode). On the front, there is a 13 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX214 sensor for clicking selfies and making video calls. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD card). The device has Hi-Res Audio 192KHz / 24-bit standard and dual internal mic. It is 7.99mm thick on its thinnest edge and weighs 170 grams. The mobile also comes with a fingerprint sensor located at the back.
In the connectivity department, it includes 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, USB Type-C and GPS. The phablet comes with a 5000mAh battery under the hood, that promises up to 6.4 hours of continuous UltraHD video recording and up to 42 days of standby time.
The ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom is available in Sapphire Black, Glacier Silver and Rose Gold color variants. The pricing has not been revealed yet but it will roll out from February 2017.
