ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom now available in Taiwan

The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom, which was unveiled last month at CES 2017, is now selling in Taiwan. The 64GB ROM variant is listed on ASUS’ Taiwanese online store for NT $14990 (US $487 / INR Rs. 32,671 approximately). The phone is slated to launch in USA sometime in this quarter starting from $399 and it is already selling in China, where the 128GB model costs CNY 3699 (US $538 / INR Rs. 36,118 approximately). The mobile comes in Glacier Silver and Navy Black colors.

The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, has 500 nits of brightness and a pixel density of 401 PPI. It is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 14nm processor along with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with  3GB / 4GB RAM and 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of internal memory (eMMC), which is further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. It runs on Zen UI 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

The ZenFone 3 Zoom rocks dual rear cameras – a 12 megapixel primary rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX362 sensor, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Laser AF, three-axis EIS, four-axis OIS. It has another 12 megapixel secondary rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and 5P largan lens. It has a 25mm wide-angle lens and a 56mm telephoto lens, just like the iPhone 7 Plus. It offers 12X digital zoom along with 2.3X optical zoom and portrait mode (depth of field mode). On the front, there is a 13 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX214 sensor for clicking selfies and making video calls. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD card). The device has Hi-Res Audio 192KHz / 24-bit standard and dual internal mic. It is 7.99mm thick on its thinnest edge and weighs 170 grams. The mobile also comes with a fingerprint sensor located at the back.

In the connectivity department, it includes 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, USB Type-C and GPS. The phablet comes with a 5000mAh battery under the hood, that promises up to 6.4 hours of continuous UltraHD video recording and up to 42 days of standby time.
