ASUS Zenfone 3 with Snapdragon 625 announced, price starts at USD 249

The ASUS Zenfone 3 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super IPS+ display, which is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has 500 cd/m2 of brightness. The display has a screen-to-body ratio of 77.3% and comes with a 2.1 mm narrow bezel. It is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 14nm processor along with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 3 / 4 GB of RAM and comes with 32 / 64 GB of internal memory, which is expandable via microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with Zen UI 3.0 on top of it.

The Zenfone 3 rocks a 16 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and Laser AF. It has ASUS TriTech autofocus system, which will automatically select 2nd generation laser, phase detection or continuous focus for 0.03 second quick focus and subject tracking. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 88-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano/microSD), and comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back.

On the connectivity front, it comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C and GPS. The phablet comes with a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood.

The ASUS Zenfone 3 is available in Aqua Blue, Shimmer Gold, Sapphire Black and Moonlight White color variants. It has been priced at US $249 (INR Rs 16,728 approximately) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model, however the price of the higher variant has not been revealed yet.

ASUS has also unveiled the Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Zenfone 3 Ultra smartphones, along with many other devices at the Computex 2016 today.
