ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser with Snapdragon 430 launched in India for Rs 18999

ASUS India has launched four new smartphones at the Z3NVOLUTION event in India yesterday. Among them, the ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser is the cheapest smartphone in the new Zenfone 3 series. It was officially unveiled in Vietnam last month. Lets go through the specifications, features, pricing and availability of the phablet below.

The ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and has 77% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (Quad 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + Quad 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 505 GPU. It has 4 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory, which is further expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with Zen UI 2.0 on top.

The Zenfone 3 Laser rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX214 sensor, Laser Auto Focus and 3-axis EIS. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 89-degree wide-angle view for selfies and video calling. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano/microSD Card), comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back, that can unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds. The phone has a metal body, which is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 150 grams. It features ICEpower enhanced speaker along with audio wizard for an enhanced audio experience.

On the connectivity front, it comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The phablet packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood.

The ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser is available in Glacier Silver and Sand Gold color variants. It has been priced at Rs 18,999 in India. It will be sold via all major e-commerce sites like Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Paytm, ShopClues, Tata CLiQ and leading retail stores along with Asus Exclusive Stores across the country starting from September 2016. The company has also launched the Zenfone 3Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3 Deluxe.
