ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 was officially launched in India at the ZenFestival in Delhi, in presence of ASUS Chairman, Jonney Shih. The device was on pre-order since August 19 and since yesterday it is now available for purchase on Flipkart.

The ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor with Adreno 306 GPU or octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2 / 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with Zen UI on top.
The phablet comes with 13 megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, Real Tone flash and Laser Auto Focus. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It is 3.9 – 10.8 mm thick and weighs 180 grams. It supports Dual SIM.
On the connectivity front, it comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The phablet comes with a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood.
The ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 is available in Ceramic White, Glamour Red and Pure Black colour variants in India. It has been priced at Rs 9,999 for the 2GB RAM/Snapdragon 410 SoC variant which is now selling exclusively on Flipkart. The company also announced the 3GB RAM/Snapdragon 615 SoC model that will go on sale for Rs 13,999 in the near future.
