ASUS MeMo Pad 7 ME572C tablet announced at IFA 2014

After launching the Zenbook UX305 and EeeBook Notebooks as well as the Android Wear powered ZenWatch, Asus announced the MeMo Pad 7.


The ASUS MeMo Pad 7 ME572C is the successor of MeMo Pad 7 ME176C which was announced at Computex 2014 in Taipei. The tablet has a 7-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) Full HD IPS multi-touch display with a pixel density of 323 ppi. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 processor with PowerVR G6430 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes in 16 GB and 32 GB storage options.

The ASUS Memo Pad 7 ME572C runs  on Android 4.4 Kitkat with its ZenUI on top of it. It has ASUS SonicMaster Audio Technology and dual Stereo speakers for better audio output. On the camera front, it has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfier and video calling.


The tablet features ASUS TruVivid and Splendid technology for enhanced clarity, brightness and accurate colour reproduction of the screen. It is 8.3 mm thick and weighs 269 grams only, which makes it compact but not as compact as the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. It packs in a 15 Wh Li-polymer battery under the hood. The tablet also comes in 4G LTE (ME572CL) variant which has Intel XMM 7160 LTE modem. On connectivity options, it comes with the standard WiFI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS.

The ASUS MeMO Pad 7 ME572C will come in Rose Champagne, Gentle Black and Burgundy Red colour variants. Price starts at 199 Euros but no word on availability yet.
