ASUS India to launch new Zenfone 3 series at Z3NVOLUTION on August 17

ASUS India has started sending out media invites for the launch of its new Zenfone 3 series at the company’s signature Z3NVOLUTION event in the country on August 17.

ASUS had unveiled the new Zenfone 3 series – Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3 Deluxe at the Computex 2016 back in May this year. The company has also launched the new Zenfone 3 Laser and Zenfone 3 Max last month in Vietnam. We do not know if ASUS would be launching all the latest devices from the Zenfone 3 series in India but we are going to witness the launch of more than one smartphone at Z3NVOLUTION for sure. Check out the specifications of the new devices below.

ASUS Zenfone 3 Specifications

The ASUS Zenfone 3 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super IPS+ display, which is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has 500 cd/m2 of brightness. The display has a screen-to-body ratio of 77.3% and comes with a 2.1 mm narrow bezel. It is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 14nm processor along with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 3 / 4 GB of RAM and comes with 32 / 64 GB of internal memory, which is expandable via microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with Zen UI 3.0 on top of it.

The Zenfone 3 rocks a 16 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and Laser AF. It has ASUS TriTech autofocus system, which will automatically select 2nd generation laser, phase detection or continuous focus for 0.03 second quick focus and subject tracking. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 88-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano/microSD), and comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back.

On the connectivity front, it comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C and GPS. The phablet comes with a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood.

The ASUS Zenfone 3 Ultra features a 6.8-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED display, that comes with a screen-to-body ratio of 79% and has Tru2Life+ Video technology. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 (Quad 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2 GHz A53) processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 3 / 4 GB of RAM and comes with 32 / 64 / 128 GB of internal memory, which is expandable via microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with Zen UI on top of it. The device comes with an aluminium alloy unibody design and does not have any antenna lines at the back, which is usually seen on the metal smartphones.

It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano/microSD), and comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back. It is 6.8 mm thick and weighs 223 grams.

It has 6 GB of RAM and comes with 64 / 128 / 256 GB of internal memory, which is expandable via microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with Zen UI 3.0 on top of it.
