ARCHOS Diamond Plus phablet announced for USD 275

ARCHOS Diamond Plus has been announced after the company unveiled three new smartphones – Diamond S, 50e Helium and 50 Cesium. Lets go through the specifications of the phablet.


ARCHOS Diamond Plus Specifications

The ARCHOS Diamond Plus features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS Lamination display. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor along with Mali T720 MP3 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The Diamond Plus comes with a 16 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash, 5P lens, which can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. It has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It is 8.4 mm thick and weighs 179 grams. The phablet supports Dual SIM and has a 3.5mm audio jack.


The Diamond Plus includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. It packs in a 2,850 mAh Li-on battery under the hood.

The ARCHOS Diamond Plus has been priced at £179.99 (US $275 / INR Rs 18,200 approximately). It will go on sale sometime in November and will be showcased at the upcoming IFA 2015 from September 4. The company also announced the ARCHOS Diamond Tab.
