Apple iPod touch 2015 launched with faster A8 processor, 8 megapixel iSight camera, price starts at USD 199

Apple resurrected their business along with the music industry and become one of the best in the world after launching the iPod. However, it has lost its value with the smartphones and tablets doing all its work and more. Although, Apple has silently launched the iPod touch 2015 (6th Generation) couple of days ago. Lets take a look at the specifications.

The Apple iPod touch 2015 (6th Gen) features the same 4-inch (1136 x 640 pixels) multi-touch IPS display with a pixel density of 326ppi. It is the same one found in iPhone 5/5s/5c. It is powered by a faster Apple A8 64-bit chipset along with the M8 motion co-processor for fitness tracking, compared to A5 found in the fifth generation. The same chip is also found on iPhone 6/6 Plus.

The iPod touch now rocks a 8 megapixel iSight rear camera with LED flash, f/2.4 aperture, which is also found on the iPhone 5. It can record Full HD 1080p videos as well. On the front, it has a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for your selfies and video calling. It records 720p videos. On the connectivity front, it comes with the latest WiFi standard – WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band) and Bluetooth 4.1.


The Apple iPod touch 2015 (6th Gen) is available in silver, space grey, pink, gold and blue colour variants and is available in four storage configurations. The 16GB model costs US $199, 32GB for US $249, 64GB for US $299 and the maxed out 128GB will set you back by US $399 in USA.
