Apple invites the media on September 9 to showcase new iPhones

Apple will be holding its much awaited media event on Wednesday, September 9 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California. The company is expected to announce new iPhones as well as release iOS 9 along with new Apple TV.

The Apple media invites are being rolled out and Yahoo’s Alyssa Bereznak shared it on Twitter. The tagline of the invite says, “Hey Siri, give us a hint.”

As we all know, iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will be the star attraction of the event. Have a look at our detailed rumour roundup of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. In short, they will be made up of 7000 series aluminium, in order to have a rigid body which is prone to bending (bendgate). They will have force touch mechanism, Apple A9 processor, 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and the much awaited 12-megapixel rear camera.

Apple is also expected to announce a new improved Apple TV set-top box. It will supposedly include a redesigned chassis with an A8 chipset, a touch-based remote control, more internal memory and support Siri along with a full-fledged App Store. iOS 9 and watchOS 2 will also be released for the public and will be available for download shortly, after the event ends.

Apple will most likely live stream and live blog the event on their website, as they have done for the past couple of years but it has not been announced yet. We will bring you all the new happenings leading up to event. So stay tuned.
