Amazon Kindle with touch screen launched in India for Rs 5,999

Amazon finally updates the original Kindle with a touch screen and launches it in India. It has been priced at Rs 5,999 and is now available for pre-order from Amazon India.


The new Kindle has the same 6-inch (600 x 800 pixels) display at 167 PPI pixel density, which is similar to last year’s non-touch Kindle, but the new one has a touch screen. The ebook reader comes with the usual WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 4 GB of internal storage which is able to store thousands of books. The device offers up to 4 weeks (wireless of) of battery life.

The All-New Kindle is up for pre-order on Amazon India and will start shipping on October 9. It has been attractively priced at Rs 5,999. The app has also been updated for iOS 8 which brings ‘Kindle Today’ widget.
