Alcatel X1 with 5-inch AMOLED display now selling in India for Rs 15999

Alcatel X1 has been silently launched in India today. It is the latest mid-range smartphone by the company in this country. Lets check out the specifications of the device now.

The Alcatel X1 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD AMOLED display, that is protected by Dragontrail Glass. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (Quad 1.4 GHz + Quad 1.0 GHz) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The X1 comes with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens and can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with 1.4 µm pixel size and f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and HiFi audio with Cirrus logic and Arkamys tech for an enhanced audio experience. It has a slim anodized aluminium frame that is 6.99 mm thick and weighs 140 grams.

The X1 includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,150 mAh Li-Polymer non-removable battery under the hood that promises up to 19 hours of talk time (2G) and up to 74 hours of standby time (2G). It comes with Alcatel’s Eye-D unlock system as well.

The Alcatel X1 is available in Silver White and Silver Black color variants. It has been priced at Rs 15,999 in India and can be purchased via online retailers like Flipkart and Amazon India. The company has recently released Alcatel Pop Star for Rs 6,999.
