Alcatel has announced three new devices under its ‘POP’ series at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). They belong to the low-end to mid-range category – POP 4, POP 4+ and POP 4S. We will have a look at the specifications and features of Alcatel POP 4+ here.
Alcatel POP 4+ Specifications
The Alcatel POP 4+ features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display that has a pixel density of 267 ppi. It is powered by a 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor along with Adreno 304 GPU. It has 1.5 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
The POP 4+ comes with a 8 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and HDR support. It has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash and 84.4-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It is 7.99 mm thick, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio.
The POP 4+ includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, USB OTG and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 2,500 mAh battery under the hood.
The Alcatel POP 4+ can be purchased with four type of back covers – Leather, Wood, Baby Skin and Hairline-Brushed. A JBL headset is being bundled out of the box. Pricing and availability has not been announced yet.
