Acer Windows 10 smartphone and wearable to be announced at MWC 2015

Acer will join the party at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 in Barcelona with the announcement of a new Acer Windows 10 smartphone. It is quite surprising but is surely happening.



Acer Windows 10 smartphone will be unveiled at MWC 2015. However, it will not go on sale immediately as the software is now just at technical preview stage. Acer would also come up with a smartphone called jade powered by Android, possibly Lollipop.

Acer is making a comeback to the Windows phone market after many years. The company had launched Allegro more than three years ago. It had a 3.6-inch display which was running on Windows Phone 7.5 OS. Well times have certainly changed and we expect to see better specifications on the new Acer Windows 10 smartphone. There is no information about the specs or design of the phone yet.

According to the Facebook page of Acer Malaysia, the company is set to enter the wearable market at MWC 2015 with a fashionable smartwatch to compete with the upcoming Apple Watch or a smart band.


Microsoft will also come up with new hardware at MWC, possibly few of them running on Windows Phone 10 OS. We will also get more information about Windows 10 as well.

Acer One 2-in-1 touchscreen laptop was recently launched on Amazon India for Rs 19,999.
