Acer Predator 8 gaming tablet can now be pre-ordered for USD 299.99

Acer Predator 8 GT-810 Android gaming tablet was announced at IFA 2015 in Berlin back in September. It is an aluminium-shelled tablet that can now be pre-ordered. So, lets check out the specifications and pricing of the device.


Acer Predator 8 Specifications

The Acer Predator 8 features a 8-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) IPS display with zero air gap and Predator ColorBlast tech for 100% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by an Intel Atom x7 processor with Intel HD Graphics (Gen 8 LP). It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 32 / 64 GB of internal memory, which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The Predator 8 comes with a 5 megapixel primary rear camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It comes with four front-facing speakers which can be controlled with Acer’s own DSP algorithm and will “enhance sound quality with virtual surround.” Acer has put in a Predator Quadio and Dolby Audio and also comes with a proprietary app called the Predator MediaMaster that will let the users set up the audio and video settings in various modes such as album, movie, standard or game usage.

The Predator 8 includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. There is no mention about the battery capacity. Acer has partnered with GameLoft and thus it will come with pre-loaded games like Asphalt 8 and 320,000 other games.

The Acer Predator 8 gaming tablet is now available for pre-order in USA for US $299.99 from Acer, Newegg and other retailers. It will start shipping from November 17, 2015. The company launched the Acer Liquid Z630s and Acer Liquid Z530 smartphones in India recently.
