40,000 units of Xiaomi’s Redmi 1s were sold out on September 9 in just 4.5 seconds. It was literally war out there. Another 40,000 units will be up for grabs today on Flipkart.
If you have pre-registered for the Redmi 1s flash sale, you need to be online around 1 pm and log into your Flipkart account. Keep on refreshing the page from time to time but not very close to 2pm. Please ensure you have a stable internet connection or else you won’t have much chance of getting the Redmi 1s. We have also reported about the rampant black marketing of the Xiaomi Redmi 1s, which might lead to many people getting disappointed after the sale.
Today, we saw Google launching the Android One initiative with three smartphones from Karbonn, Micromax and Spice. They have been priced around Rs 6,400 which is close to Redmi 1s’ price and will be available exclusively on Snapdeal, Amazon and Flipkart respectively till September end. After that, they will be available in retail stores across India unlike the Redmi 1s. We are still confident that all 40,000 units will be sold out instantly and Android One’s launch won’t have any effect on it.
